How to Start New Products That People Love, from Ideation to Launch?
I recently hosted an AMA session with Bijan Shahrokhi, Product Executive, and Influencer. Bijan Shahrokhi is the creator of Product Management Exercises, a community of 150K Product Managers. He is the founder of Product Monkey AI, designed to make Product Managers in tech companies more efficient by automating the creation of execution tasks from product design mocks. He has a wealth of experience in the tech industry and helped to launch and grow several successful products.
In this AMA session (The link to the LinkedIn newsletter), he shared his insights on how to start new products that people love, from ideation to launch. Here are some of the key takeaways:
- Start with a clear understanding of the problem you are trying to solve. What are the pain points of your target customers? What are they struggling with? Once you have a clear understanding of the problem, you can start to brainstorm solutions.
- Do your research. Talk to potential customers, conduct surveys, and analyze data to learn more about the problem you are trying to solve. This will help you to validate your idea and make sure that there is a market for your product.
- Build a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). An MVP is a product that has just enough features to be used by customers. It is important to build an MVP because it allows you to test your idea with real users and get feedback early on.
- Get feedback from users. Once you have an MVP, it is important to get feedback from users. This feedback will help you to improve your product and make it more valuable to users.
- Iterate and improve. Product development is an iterative process. You will need to constantly iterate and improve your product based on feedback from users.
- Launch your product. Once you are happy with your product, it is time to launch it. This is where the hard work really begins! You will need to market your product and get it in front of potential customers.
I enjoyed this conversation with Bijan Shahrokhi and found it very valuable. I highly recommend going through the newsletter to learn more about his insights on how to start new products that people love.
