How I Went from Hours to Minutes Creating Content in the AI and ChatGPT Age
From Passion to Creation: My Journey as a Content Creator
Introduction
I’ve always been passionate about learning and sharing my knowledge with others. In my undergrad days, I built a unique walking and talking robot, which sparked my journey as a creator. I’ve since written blog posts, articles, and even a newsletter and podcast on product mastery in the age of AI and chatGPT.
But creating content can be time-consuming. It takes hours to research a topic, write a draft, edit, and format the content. And that’s just for one piece of content!
That’s where AI and ChatGPT come in. These tools can help you create content in minutes, instead of hours.
In this article, I’ll share my journey from being a content creator who spent hours creating content to one who can create content in minutes. I’ll also share the key lessons I’ve learned along the way.
My Inspiration
My passion for learning and sharing my knowledge with others is what inspired me to start creating content. I also have a strong curiosity, which has led me to explore a variety of topics. And I’m a philomath, which means I enjoy learning new things.
These three things have helped me to become a more effective content creator. They’ve also helped me to develop the atomic habits that I need to create content consistently.
Getting to Content Creation in Minutes
I used to spend hours creating content. I would research a topic, write a draft, edit, and format the content. This process could take me anywhere from 2 to 5 hours, depending on the complexity of the topic.
But I knew there had to be a better way. So I started experimenting with AI and ChatGPT. These tools can help you create content in minutes, instead of hours.
I started by using ChatGPT to generate content ideas. I would give ChatGPT a topic, and it would generate a list of ideas. I would then choose one of the ideas and start writing.
ChatGPT also helped me to improve my writing skills. It would provide me with feedback on my writing, such as grammar suggestions and ways to improve my clarity.
I also started using Canva to format my content. Canva is a free tool that makes it easy to create visually appealing content.
Key Lessons Learned
Here are the key lessons I’ve learned on my journey to becoming a more effective content creator:
- Start with your passion and strength. What are you passionate about? What are you good at? Create content that is aligned with your passion and strength.
- Define your audience. Who are you creating content for? What are their needs and interests? Tailor your content to their needs to ensure that it is relevant and engaging.
- Set content strategy and goals. What do you want to achieve with your content creation? Do you want to educate, entertain, or inspire your audience? Once you know your goals, you can create content that is aligned with them.
- Start creating consistently. The best way to improve your content creation skills is to practice regularly. Set aside some time each day to create content, even if it’s just for 15 minutes.
- Iterate and experiment. Don’t be afraid to try new things. Experiment with different formats, topics, and styles to see what works best for you.
- Be authentic. Share your personal experiences and insights to make your content more relatable and engaging.
- Open for feedback. Ask for feedback from your audience and use it to improve your content.
Conclusion
I hope this article has inspired you to start creating content. It doesn’t matter if you’re a product lead or not. Anyone can create content, and AI and ChatGPT can help you do it in minutes.
